Client's Testimonials

We both had a  fantastic time. It was a different and very enjoyable way to experience Sri Lanka. The cycling guides were very friendly and helpful (Banda and Janaka). We believe they are fit enough for experienced cyclists. It was fantastic to have a backup vehicle. Also Kumare was very helpful and

Excellent route! Amazing views. Challenging as well (for me it was pretty challenging, probably also due to height (less oxygen) and climate, for my boyfriend (he races in cycling competitions) it was ok, he is fitter than I am. Trekking in Horton Plains was excellent!, we enjoyed it very much !
The staff were  great company and could tell us quite a bit about the area, which made it  all very enjoyable.

Belihuloya - Kinchigune trail

The interesting feature in this cycle trail is that, it offers you a considerable diversity taking you along the main road, by roads, gravel roads through small towns, villages, paddy fields, forest patches and so on with short ups and downs and a steep uphill ride.

The easy first section of about 9km of this trail from River Garden to Ambalantenna, along the main road and past the Sabaramuwa University will warm you up for the rough ride ahead. From Ambalanthenna onwards the ride, mostly through the thick forest is interesting and rough. The road, washed off at places will make your ride more interesting by being eventful. As you enter the village of Kosgama you will be greeted by beautiful paddy fields and small village houses. This section is about 4km. Then comes, the challenge! This stretch of about 6km up to the main road at Marangahawela is one steep uphill climb. Do not despair for; the beautiful forest will give you enough of cool shade and serenity to make you keep riding.

After the tiring climb, the final phase, a downhill ride of about 12km along the main road from Marangahawela back to River Garden , will help to cool you off gradually before end of the trail.

Afternoon has the opportunity for an optional visit to Galle by car. An old, walled seaside town, Galle was important as a trading port for the Dutch from the 17th century when the fortress was constructed, but it had undoubtedly been a trading centre since ancient times. There is plenty to see, particularly in the old fort area, which was designated as a World Heritage Site in 1988. Overlooking the sea, the fort ramparts protect the harbour, old houses, churches, warehouses and the Arab quarter. The New Oriental Hotel, originally built in 1684, is the epitome of colonial architecture and worth a visit, if only for the atmospheric bar!
